Finding Percentages? Easy Tricks!

Same Single-Digit Numbers 

60% of 60 is 36

How?

1. Multiply the tens digit by the tens digit.

2. Ignore the zeroes!

Example: 

(60 x 60) = 36

5% of 5 is 0.25

How?

1. Multiply the digits together.

2. Divide the product by 100.

Example: 

5 x 5 = 25   

25/100 = 0.25
